About the role

Uniiks Assisted Living in Eagan, MN is seeking compassionate Resident Care Assistants (RCAs) to provide direct support with daily living activities while promoting independence, comfort, and safety. We offer competitive pay ($20-$25/hr), flexible scheduling, and a supportive team environment. As an RCA, you will assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transfers, mobility, meals, and medication reminders. You'll also perform light housekeeping, document care in our electronic health record, and build meaningful relationships with residents and families.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
Assist with toileting and continence care
Assist residents with transfers using gait belts, sit-to-stand lifts, and Hoyer lifts as needed
Assist residents with ambulation and mobility
Prepare and serve meals according to dietary needs
Encourage adequate nutrition and hydration
Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns
Assist with medication reminders in accordance with company policies
Perform light housekeeping, laundry, linen changes, and room organization
Document care and services provided using the electronic health record (EHR)
Maintain resident confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
Participate in care conferences and team meetings
Respond promptly to emergency situations
Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment
Build positive relationships with residents, families, and coworkers

Required qualifications

High School Diploma or GED
Must be at least 18 years of age
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Preferred qualifications

Previous experience as a PCA, HHA, CNA, or RCA
Assisted Living or Memory Care experience
CPR and First Aid Certification
Medication Administration experience
Experience with electronic documentation systems

Physical requirements

Frequent standing and walking; ability to bend, kneel, squat, and reach; lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds; assist with resident transfers; ability to respond quickly during emergencies

Schedule

Morning, Afternoon, Evening, Overnight · 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM, 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
